Could some of the one day tourneys be combined to one weekend, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. For those of us who travel , it make it easier to catch multiple events and would free up some weekends.

Jeremy Boyd   February 28, 2018 at 8:37pm

I see your logic, but that probably won't happen. Running events places a burden on those involved, and doing two back to back days would open up a host of potential difficulties for those responsible. You also have to consider the fact that many of these one day events are being run by different clubs.

Jeremy Boyd   February 28, 2018 at 8:39pm

I would also venture to say that events run on Sundays only wouldn't see as good a turnout, especially on the heels of an event the day prior. Many people appreciate the single day events as it leaves them with another weekend day to work with.

I'd like to play in an event in Homer and Kenai but it's hard to justify driving 1200 miles for 36 holds of DG.

Pat Miller   March 1, 2018 at 7:52pm

Come play a tourney at the pretzel! You'll get 2 days of disc golf and 67 different looks.

Jeremy Boyd   March 1, 2018 at 8:18pm

Just thought of a new idea...on most of the single day events on the peninsula I typically camp somewhere on Saturday evening so that I can play another course or two on Sunday. Perhaps we could start doing some unsanctioned mini type of events on these days to give people a chance to extend the weekend and perhaps play some sort of casual cash game. Thoughts anyone?

Jeremy Boyd   March 1, 2018 at 8:20pm

I'd also second Patty's call on a Pretzel event : )

J JACKSON   March 4, 2018 at 12:11am

Yes!! Homer tournies at the pretzel are a blast! I've been considering running an unsactioned handicap tourney the day after forest fling, that way people could gather sat night for some putting games, long drive contest etc..or just hangout by a fire!

What's the fishing like the first of June?

Jeremy Boyd   March 7, 2018 at 3:20pm

You could go fish kings then...little early for reds and trout fishing will still be closed for the spawn...
