I'm just curious a friend was recently stopped from entering a tournament in intermediate because his rating was too high. I see that there is someone playing intermediate that has a 935 rating. I don't mind playing against anyone regardless of their rating I would just like to know if there are different standards for different tournaments.
According to PDGA guidelines, a 935 rated player should be playing Advanced, not intermediate. But that's the exact cutoff number, so maybe the player's rating went up after registering. It will probably get sorted at check-in.
