I don't mind the pay to play as long as there are some course improvements....maybe some new baskets.... add some more holes... ... and keep the course manicured such as clearing the pads from ice and snow and keeping the trees trimmed.

I agree, Dave. I think there are issues with all the MetroParks. For the cost to golfers of both the park entry fee and an additional golf "greens fee", the expectation would be that some of that monies would be put back into the course and amenities. Though, I believe, the money is put into a general fund for park improvements. I am not sure how the decisions are made as to where to spend the money. Pad clearing has always been on golfers, in these parks. I think patroling the course, cost of collecting "greens fees" and repairing vandalism eats away at much of the funds. It is not unprecedented for additional fees to be charged for park activities. We have seen improvements to the current "pay to play" MetroParks, I would expect to see some at Willow as well. Personally, I get an annual golf pass to the MetroParks, as I frequently play all of them, so this is no really additional cost for me, but I understand the frustration. I don't know if there is an active Willow disc golf club, but they would be the best avenue to initiate dialogue with the park officials. As unpopular as this might sound, I support the initiative. It has paid benefits at the other MetroParks, in terms of upkeep, lowering the incidents of vandalism and installation of additional holes at both Kensington and Stony. If the park reaps a financial benefit, perhaps this opens the way to additonal course installations as MetroParks currently housing no courses. It could also become a presentable business model for proposed courses at parks outside the MetroParks as well. I am not discounting others opinions, just wanted to present mine.
