Ideas for club money

I'd like everyone to post their ideas as to what we should do with this seasons club money. Then we can vote here on what the final decision is. I'll contribute my idea (Nick) and we'll go from there.

Install a new Mach X on hole 9. Move the basket location (right) under the large tree.

Tee box improvement on a few holes would be nice

dave bourgeois   August 23, 2016 at 5:36pm

couple benches and a practice putting basket

Nick W   August 24, 2016 at 4:08pm

Guardian tree for 10/22.

kang jeebus   August 25, 2016 at 10:40pm

**** anything for improving anything involving the city of saint clair ****s.

Nicholas Chmiel   August 26, 2016 at 12:13pm

I like the guardian tree idea, but not sure it would survive. Maybe Krembs knows more about this. Teepad improvement is a must at the course. Mostly on holes 1,3,5. Dave B if we get the Mach X for hole 9 the old hole 9 basket can become the new practice basket.

Where is the practice basket going to be located? Ball diamond, dog park or a place that the damn kids cant climb on it and destroy it. Hole 12 basket is already a jungle gym, go ahead givem another one

How about some etiquette/warning("flying discs") signs along the walking path

J Moyer S.D.G.C.   August 26, 2016 at 1:14pm

Warning signs not a bad idea. Perhaps a champion tee pad behind 1?

Nicholas Chmiel   August 26, 2016 at 2:43pm

Ok let's see some votes. Here's the ballot. 1. New pad on hole#1. (will cost $500, I already had it quoted) 2. New basket and bi-proxy a new practice basket. 3. Course warning signs. Go!

Nicholas Chmiel   August 26, 2016 at 2:44pm

My vote: New basket. Or new pad on 1. Don't really care, either would be sweet.

Jay B   August 26, 2016 at 3:58pm

#3.....and gravel or chips for some of the tees....$500 is a steep price for a tee..? Those slabs should be able to be moved

Jay B   August 26, 2016 at 3:59pm

Jeebus had a point about where would you actually be able to even put a practice basket where it wont interfere with any other areas of the course

J Moyer S.D.G.C.   August 27, 2016 at 9:05am

Three new heavy duty rubber mats is my final vote, we could do a quick fund raiser if we are a little short.

Nicholas Chmiel   August 28, 2016 at 2:06pm

My price was a quote with a 6" raised 4'10' pad sitting on crushed rock (slag). We could probably do that and mulch #1 and #11 basket locations.

Nicholas Chmiel   August 30, 2016 at 5:57pm

I'm going to have the teepad on hole 1 quoted again as my original quote was for the city to pay the bill and we all know government jobs are quoted higher. That being said, I think we can replace the pad on 1 and get wood chips to cover the basket areas on hole 1 & 11.

PS. We will also be repainting the picnic tables you vandalized. Have a good day!

As soon as I get my phone back from the repair shop I'll get in touch with my buddy Jeff. He is a mason/tuckpointing guy. Should be able to get a deal. I can get a 12X18 aluminum sign on Angle iron to install on the walking path with a "flying discs courtesy" warning. Then there's the wood chips. Any ideas on that one guys? I know cities on the west side give them away. Not sure about shores.
