All I've read is complaints about no signage and horrible navigation. I'm heading out there in the morning. DOES ANYONE HAVE A COURSE MAP?? Maybe at some point you'd think that someone would inform the public where the holes actually were when they found them but no they just **** about it being difficult instead of being helpful in their review and letting everyone know where to go. ANYONE OUT THERE that can help me that would be great. I am a professional and if no one chimes in I'm sure I'll manage but seriously, can anyone be helpful in their reviews instead of bantering on about their long walks and lack of navigation skills.
Wade there are two spots that tripped us up last time we were there. One of the holes is missing a long tee, it is the one that shoots alongside the road with the residential houses to the right and the small cabin by the basket. That, and around hole 7 or so there is a long walk in which you circle back. Sorry working off memory from the 1 time I was there last year. Hopefully you run into a local who can show you around, it is a little hard to find your way around. Enjoy, I'm jealous, McSauba has no rival in Michigan, you will enjoy the challenge I'm sure.

It's a nice course. The views make up for the long walks.
There is a large sign at the beginning of the course. Take a picture of that with your phone. It is true that the signage isn't great but this course is rad. The holes vary from open to wooded and there are some huge elevation changes. The course isn't as developed as some of the older courses in the area but it's not that hard to follow.
I was out there Thursday. They are working on the course so some of the holes are not up yet. When you get to the top of the hill, go off the back of the hill toward the houses. I was out there Thursday. They are working on the course so some of the holes are not up yet. When you get to the top of the hill, go off the back of the hill toward the houses. The long hole towards the water had no basket at the bottom. Also, the hole by the road still had standing water. On the hole towards the houses, they set up the basket on a snow hill which was pretty cool. The following hole was not set up either so I just skipped it. They are working every Monday to get this course ready for the season. They are doing outstanding work for a very difficult course. Hole 3 is amazing compared to last year. Hey Wade - I can't figure out how to post a scorecard or map on this site that is easily linked to, but our club facebook page has both a map and a scorecard on it. Hole #6 (the big rip down the back hill) is the only one without a basket at this point, but there are a couple signs still missing, too (we've been finding them in the woods around the holes...). It's a long and tough course, but I concur with the other comments - well worth the hike - the views are second to none, and there are some killer par 4's out there, too! The course will be in much better shape in 2 weeks, and if you are still around Monday - come on out for our workbee and doubles league! And maybe I'll just run a temp basket and some scorecards up there right now...so maybe I'll see you up there...
