Sorry man but I brought it up many times at leagues last year. Theses mandos are being put in place for the safety of people and cars. They are not there to punish throwers. If anything it will help force you to throw different lines. By all means don't follow the mandos but during MMDGC events they will be in place.
And as far as course design goes we had no say in the layout of the current hole 1. It was installed before we started hosting events at Seymour. We're just working with what we have.
didn't you guys have a part in pouring the cement for the pad?? hey vince, just because I don't agree with the change doesn't mean you need to run your ****ing mouth.
Come on guys. Yes I helped put in the current hole 1 pad. It was made to give some extra distance from what was a 4'x4' pad about 50'-60' closer in a dead straight line with the basket. The hole was lengthened and had a new line with the new pad. I didnt realize how much the park ...

The hole was lengthened and had a new line with the new pad. I didnt realize how much the parking lot and hill would come into play with the new lines people would create. My initial idea was to plant trees along the corner of the parking lot and next to the pine to naturally eliminate these throws. Unfortunately the ground around hole 1 is fairly dry and we have to find trees that are small enough to move with the parks current equipment and healthy enough to survive until it can take a strong hold in the ground. I am still working on this option.
I wondered what a "Mondo" was when I played there yesterday. And I saw the new "yellow" blocks. I just did not know what to make of them and no one there knew either. :)
Is there signage, or what?
Yes there is signage and a drop zone.
not cool for us leftys
Also a mando on the light pole. Makes it harder for both throwers. Also makes it safer for people walking up to hole 2 an the cars in the parking lot.
way tougher for the lefty and forehand don't act like the mandos affect right handed equally. mandos= poor course design
I am pretty pissed to hear this.

You mean to tell me I have to actually try and throw a controlled shot now instead of a hyzer bomb? Damn you for forcing me to be a better player! Lol
On a side note, you did a good job on the dz, looks nice. What's the distance to the basket?
Not sure but I think about 100-150'.

I meant no offense Shaun, the comment was meant to be directly to Miles and be playful at that - definitely not directed towards you or your concerns.

Yea the drop zone was put in a day or two before the signs.
