Below are my notes of the items officially decided upon at the last Monthly DFOK Meeting, held on Thursday
August 27th.
1. 2015 MONTHLY DFOK MEETINGS:
A discussion took place regarding the conflicts in the 2015 DFOK Meeting schedule & the remaining 2015 Thursday night
Points League.
It was moved & seconded to change the meeting location & time for the next 2 DFOK meetings (Sept. and October, 2015) to directly follow the last Thursday night league rounds of those respective months, in the park where the league round takes
place. The motion carried with a 7-0 vote.
2. DFOK BOARD/LEADERSHIP DETAILS
Background Info: In a previous DFOK Meeting it was moved & seconded to create five DFOK Board Member positions, then
define the election process details & job duties of those postions. See meeting notes from the March 26th DFOK Meeting.
In this months meeting (Aug.), many discussions took place about the future DFOK Board Member positions.
As a result of those discssuions, the following voting actions took place this months.
(A) It was moved & seconded that all Board Member Positions should have 1 year term limits.
The motion carried with a 7-0 vote.
(B) It was moved & seconded that in order to be eligible to vote in the upcoming DFOK Board Member Elections, individuals
must "favorite" (similar to follow) the Disc Fanatics of Kansas CLUB page on the discgolfscene.com website.
The motion carried with a 7-0 vote.
(C) It was moved & seconded that in future DFOK Board Elections, to be eligible to run for the DFOK Board President
position, candidates must be as follows;
(1) In Good Standing with the Disc Fanatics of Kansas club.
(2) Have served on a previous DFOK Board
(3) Receive a unanimous vote of approval from the current DFOK Board members.
The motion carried with a 7-0 vote.
(D) Individuals were reminded bring their list of potential DFOK Board Member job duties to the next meeting so we can
work on that task.
Many other small topics were discussed, but no legislative actions were taken on those items/discussions.
Members in attendance were as follows; Jeremy LeCrone, Mitch Brenn, Mark Kewley, Shad Schafer, Justin Nolasco, Will Reed,Damon Funke, and myself.
