Ok... Mike, thanks for the emphasis... we've been working on the Anthill all year, but don't want to cut too much or too little and some of the things that need to be cut are too high for us to reach. But, like I said, I'm not done working on the courses... but I can only take so much time off work to do things (remember, TDs and others volunteer their time). I Took two days off work last week just to go get the West baskets and put them in and I'm taking today-Monday off to do other CCR Open related things, such as clearing up the Anthill and picking up sticks and marking tee pads and painting OBs and roping OBs and answering questions...
So, the Anthill, or 18 West is still a work in progress.
As for 17 West, it may have been a cool hole 10 yrs ago, but it's dumb now (I think)... SO (to emphasize) EVERY DIVISION WILL BE PLAYING FROM THE SHORT TEE ON 17 WEST. There will be signs leading you to the pad so you don't have to risk crossing the creek and falling in.
