Since Kensington recently cut a TON of trees & brush down, our roles as spotters will shift more towards general volunteers with an emphasis on course management, crowd control, etc. Since we don't need an unlimited amount of spotters like we once did, the plan now is to take volunteers each morning on a first-come, first-served basis (preference going to veteran volunteers). 10-15 people on Fridays, 15-20 people on Sat/ Sundays. We'll announce official times soon, but it'll basically be something like this: show up at Kensington at 7am and either get a spot as a volunteer, shift over to Hudson Mills (if DGLO), or be put on a waiting list for the afternoon in case anyone leaves. At that point if you're on a waiting list, you could spectate or go play the Black Locust course and we'll call you if we need people. Sorry if this causes any inconvenience, but we feel it's the easiest way of doing it. My phone number is 586-219-5436- feel free to call at any time during the tourneys and see what the need for volunteers is and I'll tell you where to go.

Feel free to show up / check in earlier. Volunteers will be taken on a first come, first served basis, with preference given to veteran volunteers. Be sure to show up on time even if you are a veteran! A waiting list will be made if we end up with more volunteers than needed at a given time. We'll also try to shift help around to the "other" park if there is an imbalance. If interested, please consider helping at Hudson Mills on Sat / Sun, especially if you live closer to that park. (so we don't end up with everyone going to Kensington..) If we have a serious overflow of help in the morning, we may do some sort of CTP and / or offer caddying services to the players. The goal is to accommodate as many volunteers as possible and not turn too many away if we can. Hopefully we'll be right where we need to be help-wise.
