11. Fundraising/Tournament Merchandise – The ADGA will again be supporting tournaments by purchasing discs, permits, and other tournament supplies. Hey Edan, when we spoke on the phone you specifically said that you were going to hold a special elections at the jan 7th meeting. I didn't see that on the agenda. Also, I think an main issue everyone would like to discuss is the future direction of the ADGA (is it going to continue to serve the interests of anchorage or are ppl still pushing for it to be a state wide organization)? Will these issues be addressed? If anchorage opens its own club do all the funds from leagues currently being contributed to the ADGA get redirected into the new anchorage club? I would like to discuss some of the issues that have been being brought up over that last month.

Hate to burst your bubble but that is your personal agenda because as of Jan 1st you, kurtis and any other SELF APPOINTED board members tenure is over . I dont know where you think your head of the ADGA but your sadly very wrong and to make all these decisision on our area courses you want to make is also way out of line since your personal course is a hodgepodge of baskets no signage or decent pads maybe you should worry about your own back yard before thinking you know what Anchorage golfers need or want. I willl be honest I will push to change your State plans and I will be asking thatHilltop get the Tall Grass open held by the ADGA since you can grab any tourney and slap the pretzel logo on it

Decisions concerning Anchorage and our tournament schedule . I feel they will continue to try and manipulate our club here and I feel its time we establish fair borders once a legal board has been elected . I would like to figure out how people who dont live here want to crowd a already overcrowded park with a 2nd course . Just suggesting that shows how out of touch with our areas needs . If you live in homer worry about homer it needs alot of work

You won't run me out of an association I wholeheartedly support weekly and annually. Why is it I feel I have to defend myself for wanting adga to stay local as that is what it was created for. If it wasn't and it's been statewide why were all of the other associations created and why doesn't their league capital go to the state? Absolutely bogus is the agenda proposed. We tried to set an agenda last month. We were thrown off topic by edan bringing up the by laws to maintain his position for longer than 1 year without being re-elected

Please show up and plan to stay late as I want this to be ironed out and an open dialogue established. If the adga goes "statewide" you can wholeheartedly expect my withdrawal and the withdrawal of those I encourage to play and contribute to the sport. I bring rec players in, I recruit new female players. I am one of the most vocal supporters of the leagues and tourneys at any course I play. I'll take that support elsewhere if this all goes the way edan proposes

Just to point out the obvious. It appears that the ADGA bylaws can only be changed by its members not the board. And as for what is to be done with this entity, it is up to the members and not the board. I can understand that Thad and the other Homer people are saying, but it is ultimately up to the ADGA members as to what is to come of this entity and not the board. If we are all throwing out opinions out here, I would like to also. I think the ADGA should stay focused as it was intended for the Anchorage area and file for a rename, there is instruction on the state website for changing entity names if need be. To me, it seems that the majority of the ADGA members are in

Anchorage and from what I have heard, there was an election that wasn't held in Anchorage and a lot of the ADGA members were not notified, I think the first agenda item should be to hold elections. Edan and Kurtis and the Homer people may win their positions anyway, but an election process wasn't formally followed.

More opinions....it seems that the ADGA was and still is an Anchorage Club/Association. It seems that the Homer members that support the ADGA don't support its organizations bylaws as they currently stand. I feel they need to tell the Anchorage members that they want to openly change the Anchorage Club/Association bylaws so that it isn't only for Anchorage. It seems contrary to what the overall purpose states:.

Personal attacks. I am not attacking Edan, Kurtis or you. We are all apart of this great sport..my favorit sport at that. I really appreciate what Edan and Kurtis have done and still do today. I have an opion like you and them. The ADGA might change for the better who knows. If they get what they want, then it is what it is. I wanted to just state the obvious and that is to remind that the board is boud by the bylaws inwhich they are a part of. If it changes, then it changes. I thought it was a great idea (in my opinion) to remind the power that the members have...and that is the right to vote. I undstand that not all members are as active as the Homer dgers, but this organization is what it is. It's bylaws do state the intention of the entity. Again, I seriously appreciate what they do (not a joke, they do a lot!), but they have to fulfill the intentions of what this orgainzation was for...nothing more and nothing less.

I do like what Edan, Kurtis and what you envision for the ADGA. I think that maybe the ADGA and the Fairbanks and Matsu can assist in forming a new umbrella organization financially to get it up and running and these current organzation can pick or vote for who they would like to be on the unbrella organizaiton. It is time for one and I am all for that. I not on board with the idea that Anchorage area association should be changed, but that doesn't mean they can't be apart of growing dg in Alaska with this new organization if it gets formed. Sounds like this organization is what Alaska needs.

Agreed. In the past, correct me if I am wrong. But the Anchorage club the ADGA build the first premier disc golf course, Kincaid with concrete tees with its resources and the ADGA since then hosted the state tournament on the course they built, it makes sense why the ADGA hosted it...they built it. The current ADGA members should be acting as ADGA members which is it is now, is to grow the sport in Anchorage and I am sure that is what Edan and Kurtis have in mind with their positions...it only makes sense. Act according to the bylaws.

Thad if Homer was interested in growing DG in AK why did Kurtis and Eden ignore Hilltop last yr . Its the 1 ranked course in the state with the best facilties and it was ignored. It was pettiness and a personal snub of me and Rick and a belated FU to John L to make the hard work up there try and go away
