DGLA: Michigan Cooperative Point Series - Winter 2014 PREP

In preparations for the MiCPS-Winter 2014 we will be sending out emails to all DGLA members related to proposed changes for 2014 so members can vote on these items:

1) # of rounds counted per week; 2 best or 1 best round per week.
2) Winter Ace Points - 50 or 25 points per Ace (like summer)
3) Feedback on DGLA Player level player package for future consideration

I encourage discussion in the Talk section on your views so others can see your views and participate in the discussion.

Also we need to close out 2013 and that means payouts for the 2013 Winter and Summer. Most DGLA Players level members decided to carry over their payouts from Winter, we will send out to all the DGLA Player level members their awards and options which will have the winter and Summer total. Note we had 33 Player level members and are awarding almost $500 dollars. Reminder that we payout the top 40 or 40% of top spots, which ever is larger.

Reminder if you become a DGLA Player level member by Jan 15th you get both Winter and Summer seasons for the same $30.

DGLA Members Course Improvement Fund Status: We carried over $120 from 2012 and added $165 based on 33 Player level members during the 2013 seasons. So for Michigan Disc Golf Course Improvement, DGLA now has $285.00 to assist in creating or improving Michigan Disc Golf Courses. How these fund will be used will be based on submitted request and member vote.

DGLA members watch for an email from DGLA to vote by Nov 15th on the new rules. DGLA 2013 Player Members watch for a second email related to how you want to use our 2013 awards.

If you’re not already a DGLA member you can secure your lifetime DGLA membership # and vote on how the MiCPS grows and improves for Free.

2014 MiCPS Player level is still just $30, includes player package, course improvement fund and awards.

Many players ask about MDGO - Discraft Michigan State Championship Berths - Berths awarded by DGLA based on performance in the MiCPS Winter and Summer seasons are for the DGLA Player level members only. These members through their membership fee make such awards possible. You must be a member, which is less than most tournaments, to be eligible for MDGO berths awarded by DGLA. DGLA would like to thanks organizations such as Frankenmuth, White’s Acres, Washtenaw County Glow and Mt. Pleasant clubs for helping DGLA make this possible this last year & MDGO for managing the berths and hosting this amazing event each year. - What a great cooperative effort.
