Once again wind was a major factor as temperatures sunk to their coldest point of the season thus far. A warm fall sun kept things bearable for the 2 lone Shawks that traversed the course at 11am on this blustery day. Travis shot a respectable 62 in these ferocious conditions. John, the 3rd Shawk to play in today’s competition teed off earlier in the morning, was one shot off the lead with a 63. Nice shooting fellas! On an educational note, I learned a valuable lesson as my Frisbee was caught in the spaghetti trees that guard the 17th basket. Use a water bottle to knock disc out of the tree instead of another disc so as not to end up with 2 discs caught in the tree. Just a reminder that we only have two weeks of competition left before the absolutely fabulous, wonderful and spectacular prizes will be awarded for this season outstanding play. We have yet to figure out the proper venue for the awards ceremony (party) so please give us your suggestions! Have a great week and we’ll see you next Saturday!
