What started out as a warm and dry round ended wet and cool. It was a tough battle for all tonight.
Alex Mouton snagged a skin early on, with Chris Leo not long after. Billy Montpas hit on 11 to bring the skins to 1-1-1-0-0-0. Kurt Maty waited patiently until 15 to jump in and it was looking like a playoff was in the cards. It came down to hole 17 when Mouton and Montpas drove past the bucket about the same distance. Billy hit his deuce putt, but Alex's hit chains and splashed out the backside of the bucket giving Billy the skin. Hole 18 pushed and Billy secured his berth to the Michigan State Championship!
Nice job, Billy! Good shooting tonight, everybody! It was fun watching the battle. To the rest of you: get out and get your berth this year and we'll see you at States!
