The Michigan Winter Cooperative Point Series 2010/11 is set to begin
There are currently 6 leagues participating in the Mi Winter Cooperative Point Series. All Michigan leagues are welcomed.
League coordinators simply send the DGS link (URL) to your active Mi Winter League to Scott White or Foz Miller and we will add your league.
Based on feedback and our open meeting Oct 29th the following dates were selected. I will post a few more details shortly concerning updates to the Winter format but we wanted to get these dates out as soon as possible to help with planning. The Finale for Winter and Summer will be discussed at an up coming MDGO meeting and then be finalized.
The Highlighted League of the Week schedule will be determined soon based on which leagues are participating.
Winter Ace points is still 50 versus 25 for Summer & the double points for below 15 degrees is still in affect.
We are looking at having regional mid-series events depending on regional league participation and offer berths to the Finale. Registration for the Finale will have a cutoff two weeks before the Finale but registration will open when the series starts, and there will be multiple methods to register - so hopefully 14 weeks is enough time for those who want to attend. The Finale will be slightly changed and more details will follow shortly.
MICPS Winter 2010-2011:
- Start Date: Nov 21st
- Last league Rounds for Points "End Date": March 19th (1 week prior to Finale)
- Finale March 26th (review at MDGO and Finalize)
This later date gives higher probability of better weather for the Finale.
16 weeks of league rounds – 1 week between league and Finale.
