Since the Thursdays meeting, I have been focusing on getting ready for the GBO. I figured after this weekend I would jump back into the DFOK stuff...
Here are my thoughts:
- A specific person took notes during Thursday meeting. I am supposed to be receive those notes ASAP, then will post them. Probably in PDF form on www.discgolfkansas.com/ with a link posted on discgolfscene
(f.y.i. Not to be confused with meeting "minutes" b/c we're not an official club yet)
- We should have everyone look at the baskets for the next couple weeks. My plan was to tack weld every basket & chain rack to it's respective pole. (Tack welds are easily cut off if & when needed). That way none of them rock any more. That step could easily be done at a fixed work station. I was also thinking I should tack weld something on the poles so they do not set too low, OR cut the pipe down if they set too high... The latter of those tasks (height) will either require people to mark the pole before pulling them, or we'll have to do them at their placement.
- I have at least two contacts at Tuttle that we can contact to get wood chips & see what else they have to offer. They will "owe us" because of a 4H camp I've agreed to host a disc golf station at...
- No, I do not believe we set a second meeting date. I am thinking it will need to be a Thursday, MAYBE LIKE April 26th.
