But WHY would you limit the age protected division size? We had like 40+ women sign up for FA40 in previous years. I thought the whole point of this was to promote women’s golf and let us play in our chosen divisions??

Hey Sarah. I understand your concerns for sure. For context, last year we had 4 pools and more courses. This year we only have 3 pools and fewer courses. That means more divisions packed into those pools and smaller field sizes during initial registration. The good news is that on April 22nd we will add players from the waitlist to the event based off of other divisions that have not filled. This should get most everyone in the division they want. It would be cool to note that in 2024, the tournament was held to accommodate the tour and not the school schedules many of this age demo have to contend with (since FA40 is a group specifically impacted by school-aged kids). I don’t think comparing year to year attendance is fair when they are not held at similar times of year and extenuating circumstances are massively in play for this group.
