Hey Dennis. Downtown is 9 min away from the park. The Johnny Appleseed Festival will be going on and they will have vendors. Also a subway downtown. The hardest part may be parking. I'm figuring out that situation this week. There is a McDonald's and taco bell 11 min away in the further part of town. A few pizza places around to that I'm sure could be ordered ahead of time with a quick phone call. Italos, and fox's I talos,. I don't think Mary's opens until 3 which will be after lunch. So there are a few options. If you don't want to take the drive then the next best thing would be to pack. Most likely Katie and I will pack a lunch ourselves.
