All amateurs can pick up their player pack disc between 7:45am and 8:00am at the pavilion near hole 1. There will be a player meeting at approximately 8:05 to answer any questions. The round will start at 8:30am sharp. Give yourself enough time to get to your assigned hole at least a few minutes early. We will blow an air horn twice for the two minute warning and one long blast to start each round.
Please bring a charged phone and be ready to do digital scoring. All players are responsible for keeping score. The web address for digital scoring is:
MAKE SURE TO SUBMIT & FINALIZE THE SCORES FOR EACH SCORER AFTER EACH ROUND! THIS IS AN IMPORTANT STEP!
I have added a map to the "pictures" section of this event page. ALL DIVISIONS will play the longest blue layout. The course has seen some down trees from the latest group of storms and the water level of the pond is quite high. One of the reasons that we are having all divisions play the longest layout is because the short pad on 3 has been under water and the short basket on 9 is engulfed in a down tree. We will play the water in the pond, affecting holes 4 and 18 mostly, as OB. The water in the woods on hole 11 will be casual. If you and your teammate both miss the mando on holes 11 or 15, the drop zone is 5 feet from the mando, perpendicular to the target. On or across all roads/sidewalks/parking lot/fence line is OB. On or across the stairs behind basket 2 is ob with a perpendicular line from the front of the stairs.
We will have side games of a CTP on Holes 1 and 2 both rounds. The flags will be at the tee pad for the first group to put out each round. There is $75 in the optional Ace Pool. If nobody hits it, we will have a CTP throw off for it after the second round!
There will not be a player meeting before the second round. I will send an email with Second Round Hole Assignments and Start Time as soon as I can after the completion of Round 1.
The hole assignments and projected payouts for Cottage Grove Doubles (Sunday 9/1/24) have been published at the PDGA event page:
