Players were prepping and
Directors did tally
The coolers were packed
With ice and some cans
To quench thirsty players
And moisten their hands
The players were nestled
All snug in their beds
While visions of ace runs
Danced in their heads
And Dakota in his kerchief
And I in my cap
Had just finished packing
The van with all the crap
When out on the course
Arose such a clatter
It was just Mike and Colin
With a saw and a ladder
Final prep for the day
Oh let’s hope it does matter
While Luke finished up
Painting the lines
We all shared a hug
And said goodnight to the pines
