Stay hydrated. Drink water before you feel thirsty. You should drink a cup of water every 15–20 minutes. Signs of dehydration include feeling thirsty, lightheaded, having a dry mouth, and tiredness. Wear loose, lightweight, light-colored clothing, and a wide hat to protect your face.
Be mindful of your body. Watch for signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke, such as dizziness, rapid heartbeat, nausea, confusion, or headache. If you experience these symptoms, move to a cooler place, rest, and seek medical attention if necessary.
