Joshua Terwilleger  › Crossover Boone-anza Open 2024 - COLT   July 12 at 3:56pm

Good afternoon. I wanted to get this tournament email out today. Cheryl, Kyle and I are super excited about the Crossover Boone-anza Open, on Saturday 7;13 at Boone Woods. This will be a 2 round PDGA C-tier that will shotgun start at 9a. The following will be the most important details for the event. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions or comments before the event.

PLEASE NOTE- We will be setting up tournament central at the shelter next to 18's basket.

The following will be in PDGA live. All course particulars will be in PDGA live. The layout will be like this: both rounds are "long" tee pads. Really that only applies to 5, 13, and 18. Any water found on the course will be played as casual relief per PDGA guidelines. The only real OB of concern is parking lots, roads, and the concrete/pavilion on hole 4. It will all be spelled out clearly in PDGA Live, so make sure someone goes over each hole particulars before teeing off to avoid confusion.

The PDGA live code: boone713

The schedule will look like this for the day:
830-9a player check in
9a - Shotgun Start
Lunch break
2nd round
Payouts and awards

Per PDGA, every player must check in. If you haven't checked in by 850p, per PDGA we can withdraw you from the event. No one wants to do that. We are not going to have a players meeting. It is your responsibility to know what's expected for the day and be at your hole for the start of each round. Hole assignments will be posted by 9p the evening prior to the event. You can find them here: https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/82265

If you decide that this event is not for you, to receive a refund, you must withdraw by 7p Friday evening on 7/12.

Following the round, please give us a few minutes to get everything organized so we can hand out awards and payouts. If you are curious if you are going to get a payout, it is the top 45% per division by the PDGA. That will help you determine if you need/want to stick around. AM's will receive Crossover Cash. This can be exchanged for disc golf merchandise that we will have on hand.

In 2024, all players are required to keep score. Cheryl and I have not been doing this accurately in previous events, so it's important we get it right. Score needs to be in PDGA Live or Paper. Those are your 2 choices. All scores must be submitted or the player not submitting will be assessed a 2 stroke penalty per PDGA. 30 minutes following the end of the round they must be turned in. So please submit and finalize on PDGA live or turn in your scorecards.

For those in the ACE fund, if no ACE is hit, we will do a throw off. The winner of the throw off will win the whole ace fund. We are now doing ACE payoffs electronically by PayPal.

In the event there is a tie for first place in a division, the playoff will start on hole #1 until there is a winner playing the same layout from round 1 with the same course particulars.

This is a PDGA event, so everyone should be up to date on the PDGA's stance on what is legal and what is not legal. Please don't put Cheryl or myself in position to make a call that we don't want to address, or should have to address.

It's going to be a great day. Please contact us with any questions you may have!

Thanks,
Josh, Kyle and Cheryl
