Pretty much it was the Purpero show out there. He laid a scorcher down for sure. Best score of the winter leagues at -14, most birdies in a row (11) getting the 2 on holes 15-7. And he did it all in snow pants! I for one plan to dress like it's the first time I've ever disc golfed in the snow as well. Just kidding Anthony, well done sir!
Weslee came back from his hiatus to take down B pool by two strokes. His 945 rated -8 was his best showing this series. And Mr. Sal DelReal took his first (?) C pool win of the winter by beating his two competitors by two strokes. His 57 was the best of his season. So it looks like to win any of the pools you have to shoot a personal league best.
All three pools shot above their group rating this week. So the ratings were rather lackluster as a result. Had to shoot -5 just to get 902 rated.
Basket 6 was out there catching birdies as usual. 26 to be exact. We shot .670 strokes under par on it. And basket 3 was the only one meaningfully over par at .50 strokes over par. No baskets were bogey free and we missed birdies on holes 12 and 13 to keep are birdie streak alive the last few weeks.
This weekend is the last round of winter singles, and tomorrow is the last regular dubs round. Stay tuned for info on summer leagues projected to start the last week of April or First week of May.
Side note, congrats to Frank going out to the valley and taking top honors in the regular Sunday match they do out there. Not bad for a guy chucking backhands like a blind one legged chicken on meth. You'll always be #2
