Super pumped! Wanted to play MA40 but I really wanna play more than one round a day, so I’m playing MA1. No biggy, I can hang lol. We’re not that old in our 40’s are we guys lol? Curious how other 40+ peeps feel, would you care to see more than one round per day offered for MA40 next year?
I just crossed over to MA50 last year and I enjoyed the 27 per day format. 18 a day feels a bit light given that it requires most of us to set up there for the full weekend. Might has well be playing golf instead of sitting around by the tent!
Agreed
This is a bit of the crux of the matter. Some want golf all day which is hard to accommodate and have a large field and many don’t. Lots of players are not prepared or physically fit for 36 holes. 27 holes per day is very hard to schedule without any breaks. If you break down an event, to ... more

If you break down an event, to capacity of play, you start to see why TD’s offer 1 round a day at a course so they can get 220 players. A truly big 18-hole course, which the Dream 18 is, has a hard time getting 2 rounds in a day of tournament play. MP40 will be playing 36 holes a day…. We’re hoping to have more after golf activity this year. I walk the camping area and see everyone exhausted from the wet and long-playing conditions we can have. It’s all about balance and the options are there for those wanting more golf. I would also add Randolf that we are one of the only a-tiers that offers multi round play out there period. Everything else is only 1 round a day on lesser courses.
Yeah, weather makes a BIG difference as to how much golf I want to play, and the weather gods have not been kind on Ettyville the last couple of year! :) In an ideal universe (and I realize this may be impossible/impractical from a tournament organizational perspective) I would want to play 2 rou ... more

Anyhow, I am glad I do not have to figure out the logistics for all of this, tk, John!
Makes sense John. I didn’t think of it like that…I was just thinking that there was more than 18 holes a day for MA40 last year but each years different and there’s a lot to juggle and you certainties do an amazing job trying to keep everyone happy!
