1. Do you have an approximate timetable for when the day time rounds
will take place? As well as when the Putting contest will be held, day
and time?
Answer: Please see the tentative schedule posted in the Pictures tab.
2. Will each individual event be a cash payout to the winners or is
this a prize/trophy only event?
Answer: Cash and Prize payouts will be awarded. We plan to award each individual round, each Division (Glow/Dazed), for each competition (Putter, MTA, and SkillShot) and for the Grand Champions (individual/team). Players must register for GCC to qualify for the Grandest of them All.
3. Will the daytime rounds be PDGA sanctioned?
Answer: This is a non-sanctioned event.
4. Will there be any opportunity to play the course before the event?
Answer: Possibly, we are literally building the course for this event. It's likely that the course will be open to play for all **registrants** the afternoon of Friday, May 3, 2024. The course is *not* open to the public, this is a pay-to-play event.
5. Are RVs allowed on the property? Are they allowed to stay overnight?
Answer: Parking is limited, carpooling is highly recommended. The Steppingstone Farm Museum does not allow for overnight parking or overnight camping.
6. How will the Grand Championship be decided? How will each
individual event be scored to decide the overall winner?
Answer: To qualify for the Grand Championship prizes or the Grandest of them All top prize, one must register for the Grand Championship Challenge. The same applies to teams, with a single team members having the ability to win the entire event, provided they compete in all events.
Scoring will be based on the lowest total scores. Winners of the challenges (putting, MTA, SkillShot) will receive one point; second place will receive two points, 20th place will receive 20 points, and so on. Ties will be assessed the same score. For example: if we have a three-way tie at 11th place, all three participants will receive 11 points. We will pick up at 14th place who will receive 14 points, and so on.
7. In the Maximum Time Aloft (MTA) event is the ultimate frisbee provided or is it expected
of us to bring one?
Answer: All MTA participants with compete with a Wham-O FastBack (FB 6), which will be provided by the event.
9. Can I use my own putters for the Putting Challenge?
Answer: Probably not, primarily due to logistics. We're working out the specifics and will make a decision in the coming weeks. Most likely this Putting Challenge will resemble a 3-point Shooting Contest, complete with a putting clock and a money disc that will count as more points. Stay tuned...
