I was hoping this might be my son's first sanctioned tournament but he's only going to be nine at the time. Is there a chance to have younger divisions? (He would officially fit MJ10)
I want to make sure that your son has as comfortable an experience there as possible. He is able to play in MJ15 and I would suggest signing him up for that division. If he’s the only one who signs up in MJ15, no problem. If other kids sign up who are closer to 15, we could add an MJ10 division for him.
The NADGT in the USA makes the call for which divisions are offered and they line up with which divisions are offered at Nationals (or Junior Nationals). I do have the flexibility to make some adjustments but I do try to stay in line with the US offerings when possible.
