But first a reminder that there will not be any league play this Saturday 2/24. We will resume with week 5 on 3/2.
Instead join us for the 2024 Ice Bowl this Saturday. Check-in starts and 9:45 am and we tee off at 11:00 am. Only about half the slots are filled so far. Bring a fat stack of singles and buy your way to your first tournament win. Or 100th win, who cares, it's charity.
Week 4 was the first time we didn't have a 1,000 rated round this session. Scores were ok, but not great. Most of A pool (Groves, Rutledge, DelReal, Graham) decided to cross the finish line at -8 and share 2nd place, I'm not much of a team player and decided to throw an extra birdie for -9. I (Allen) was also the only player with a 4 birdie streak (holes 5-8), odd for our league. As a group A pool shot 947 rated, 7.57 points above their average. 5 of 7 players received cash.
B Pool did a little better as a group with Black taking the top spot with -8, and Chung on his heels at -7. B Pool shot 901 rated which was 13 points above their average. Moon shot 46 points above his rating and 3 other players shot at least 34 points above their rating. 4 of 8 players received cash.
C Pool had an off day but it looks like it was a nail biter with Lukas (...again...) taking 1st place and S. DelReal and Tyler both only 1 stroke behind. Which means C Pool paid out 100% of the players! As a group they shot 725 rated with was 29 points below their average.
Basket 2 was Jerry Rice out there. It was the only basket to catch every par putt (and 21 birdie putts), and we shot .585 strokes under par. So yea no bogies on basket 2, good job team. Baskets 6 and 7 also played .50 and .555 stokes under par with basket 7 having the most birdies at 22 which means 61% of attempts were birdies.
Basket 3 was pro level hard. We scored .42 strokes OVER par and J. DelReal was the only birdie on the day. I watched that shot spike down within a few feet of the basket. Would have been more impressive if he threw the shot with his right hand tho. Basket 4 was .22 strokes over par and only Graham, Groves, and Constales grabbed the birdie.
