Each division - Pro and Am - get an allotment of players as they play at different sites. Within that allotment they add more to each sub-division ie MA40 based on how quick they sellout and how big the waitlists are. They try to only add more empty spots to a division in fours, to keep foursomes. Pro division has 4 openings currently. If that remains when their deadlines hit they will add a 4some to whatever subdivision ie MP40, needs the most and can handle a 4some.
Only making an educated guess by what I have read. Keith could probably expand on it. Just makes sense from a logic standpoint and what other TDs have expressed to me when I whined about getting off the waitlist.
