You can do a backup card online, if you need a generic paper card, there will be some at TD central.
-Inclement weather
If there is lightning in the area, you will hear a three horn call, mark your disc and seek shelter.
The nearby power plant has a loudspeaker, do not go by this as it is sometimes just a test and hard to hear, go by the three horns.
-Water stations
There will be water available on:
Alpha 10 and 17
Barwick 10 and 17
As well as a bottle filler located at the restrooms
-Awards/Trophies/Payouts
Following round 3, we will have an awards ceremony. The amount of trophies per division, depends on how deep the division is.
All payouts will be done with disc golf center vouchers for ams that you can use in the store or online. Those will be sent out next week.
Pros will be paid via paypal.
If anyone wins the ace fund, that will be paid out via paypal.
If there is no ace; a lottery will be held next week.
-Raffle
This year's trophies will be prints of an original painting that Jason McDowell is doing. He will also be raffling off the original. Tickets are $5 or 6 for $20. The drawing will take place on weekend 2 and you do not have to be present to win.
COURSE INFO
If you played in last year's tournament, you saw how much damage was done from Hurricane Ian. We’ve since redesigned Barwick, so please read the following info.
Both courses:
-Over chain link fence: OB
-Unless noted otherwise, water is casual
-Island Holes: If your drive doesn't establish on the island go to the marked Drop Zone. Normal OB from the drop zone and island.
-Mando: If part of your disc clearly enters into the restricted plane, you receive one penalty throw. The lie for the next throw is the drop zone.
-OB markers.
Stringline/paint: The stringline and paint is considered part of the OB
Wood lining island: The area inside the wood is considered making the island, the wood and outside of the wood is outside of the island.
Flags/stakes: Find the nearest flag/stake on both sides of your disc and make a line between the two
Alpha:
3: The entire left of the fairway is staked OB
7: Tomorrow we will make the call on 7.
If it is dry enough where people can get to the green in a manageable way we will leave it there and extend the stringline. The path to the green would be on the right. And a drop zone will be provided near that path.
(If we get more rain and it is too wet, we will move it ot the shorter par 4 position
8: Flagged area OB
9: Island green
10: If your disc lands in water, you can go to the drop zone with no penalty
13: Tomorrow we will make a decision on whether to pull this basket shorter.
Right now there are some sporadic puddles that can be managed playing casually.
16: On/over road OB
18: parking area flagged OB
Barwick:
1: Staked area on left OB
3: The entire right of the fairway is staked OB
4: on/over sidewalk OB
If you land in the wet areas that are strung off, you can throw from the no penalty drop zone.
6: On/over sidewalk OB (Long pad is throwing from out of bounds)
7: Mando, right of the marked tree. Drop zone is the short pad. Beyond flags OB
8: Road is NOT OB
9: Beyond flags marking parking/road
10: On/over road OB
11: Beyond stringline/flags OB
Tomorrow we will make a decision on whether everyone plays the short pad because of water/mud near long pad.
If we do, the long pad will be marked and taped off.
13: Beyond stringline/flags OB (11 and 13 share the same OB markers)
14: Island green
16: Stringline/flagged areas OB
There is mud/water 100’ or so deep of the basket, if it still wet it will be flagged OB
Please use the path to the left to the next hole.
17: Sidewalk is NOT OB
18: Staked area on left is OB
The taped off area beyond the basket is not OB, just to keep cars from parking.
