Hey everyone! I've been brought in to bring clarification on a few topics and explain the details of how this event will run. Hopefully, you'll find that this event will be smooth and you'll love the payouts! I was also tipped off on the trophies, they look amazing!!

Let's begin:
1. No Player Pack - Having no player pack means an event can take late registrations all the way up to the evening prior to the event. There's no preordering, no guesswork on attendance, and so much overall benefit to the TD to not use a player pack.

2(and this is the last point, so it'll be long). 75% Payout Structure - Nick took this one out of my book after I took it from my former sponsor, Basket Bashers Disc Golf, over in North Carolina. The PDGA requires 100% value paid out to the players in the form of player's packs, vouchers, etc. You just have to account for every dollar that came in, and provide that value to the players. Right now, if the event miraculously filled up to 72 players, the details would look like this:

72 players x $45 entry fees = $3,240 income to the event.
PDGA C tiers cost $2 per player, paid after the event by the TD (72 x $2 = $144)
Running total going into payouts: $3,240 - $144 = $3,096 currently going into the Payout Purse.

Pathfinder Disc Golf has graciously donated the trophies to the event and will not be removing funds from the purse. So that means, $3,096 in vouchers would be getting paid out to 75% of the players that showed up. Don't forget, this is based on a full field.

Let's run it back:
75% of the field = 54 Players
PDGA only requires 45% of the field = 34 Players

20 more players will receive inflated payouts because of this structure! 54 Players will receive $3,096 in vouchers!

Maybe you're struggling to visualize it. Let's use MA4 for example. A strong field of 12 players.
$45 gross income per player
$2 per player PDGA fees
$516 going into the Prize Purse.
9 players will receive payouts, not including ties.
1st - $88
2nd - $77
3rd - $72
4th - $62
5th - $57
6th - $51
7th - $42
8th - $36
9th - $31

And that's how 75% payout works! It's important to note that the payouts are stronger using the 45% structure; with no payouts, however, why not use the 75% structure? You only have to beat roughly 2 of your card mates each round and you're in the cash!
