Thank you Flagstaff for a great week! I appreciate all of the volunteers who stepped up to make this even possible! It's important that we, the competitors, let the PDGA know what we loved about the event and possible improvements for future events. You can do this at the following link (also found at the top of the event page in the top right hand corner "Tournament Feedback") https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/feedback/?event=2023%20PDGA%20Amateur%20Masters%20Disc%20Golf%20World%20Championships&date=2023-07-11&email=FDGCworlds2023%40gmail.com
I talked to MANY people this week who were not happy with the 20% cut line for the AM divisions. This is where we need to voice those concerns. See you in Emporia!
You beat me to it:-/
The 20% limit for Am divisions was not only a joke and totally unnecessary, but also incredibly unfair to the hundreds of Am players who traveled so far and spent so much time and money to play in this tournament. For instance, the MA50/MA55 divisions played their semi-final round at McPherson Park. Where a grand total of 31 players between both divisions teed off in a shotgun start. In ma50 it was originally 16 spots, it was 16 spots for months and then because one person did not show it dropped to 15 spots. This ... more

This individual did not drop and get filled from waitlist.. they just never showed to registration, I would guess they did not get a refund so the money from 76 players was collected. They should have been a DNF, just like any other tournament that you no show for and get par plus 4 on first holes until the scoring app has them delete from the card and in ma 55 it was 16 spots. That is only 32 spots on a shotgun start. seems like a low number, when looking at last year it was 33 spots per division in ma50 and ma55 for 66 spots, Other than those it was an excellent tournament
