Why can't you just keep my registration fees and still give out the players packs ?

See the Withdrawal and Refund Policy here: https://www.pdga.com/files/amateur_divisions_at_2023_pdga_masters_worlds_-_refund_policy_v2.pdf The reason we only provide player packs to registered players who are present is because of the logistics of providing enough player packs for the entire field and the larger value of the player packs which makes it attractive to register for Worlds with no intention of playing and withdrawing late just to get the player pack. One year the host had to provide 100+ extra player packs and ship them to players who withdrew late. This practice of late withdrawal just to get a players pack also meant that other players on the waitlist had no opportunity to get into the event within a reasonable time period to make travel plans to attend. These are the reasons why the current policy was created and implemented.
