In my dream world, there are three extra baskets laying around somewhere in the city's storage to put in the South layout's #9, 17, and 18 basket placements, giving us the three proper layouts (south (yellow?), white, and blue) and ultimate mix that Hickory Hills deserves. I know a lot of folks hated on the south layout, but I really liked the holes 8, 9, and 18 from South, and now their gone, gone, gone, and I find it kind of sad.
South 8 & 9 were axed to improve flow and reduce safety risks with new trails. 8’s green area was shifted and repurposed as part of the Blue layout. The longer (intended) version of South 9 was never able to come to fruition, so Original 7 was put back in (White 6). South 18 was removed due to erosion concerns along the creek.
In a dream world we still have the original 24 holes.... but they have done good job putting all back together as it is ????
