How does the cut work? Are we cutting 40% of the field and leaving 60%, or are we cutting 60% and leaving 40% to play on Sunday? Language is ambiguous.
60% of the field is cut and 40% will play.
How does the math work in divisions with, say,16 people?
This is NOT an official answer, but I am GUESSING that any player on the fractional cusp will make it to the finals. If there are 16 players, then 40 % is 6.4 players, so I would GUSS the top 7 players, plus ties, would make the cut. This is NOT an official answer.
