This may be a silly question, or just a commonsense thing, but I'm looking to find out if we'll need to take care for poison oak, etc. on any of the courses? I'll be new to the NW region and trying to figure out whether I'll be wearing slacks/jeans vs shorts at the courses. Thanks!
Yes

we practiced Stewart Pond and saw PO. I know there has been some at Dexter in the past.
Not a silly question. Protect yourself.
Poison oak is thriving bad now. If allergic plan for pants. So growing up with it here in Oregon Mr. James your best bet is either pants or some gators. Bring some Zanfel I’ll have some on me when there. Also alcohol wipe down when get done. You will prob get casual relief during event. And if on my card I’ll snag a disc for you. I’m sure dexter has it.
It's out there. Not terrible, but good to be wary. If you know what it looks like you can probably wear shorts and avoid it. If you know you are highly allergic, wear pants. Final Note: If you get scratched by blackberries, your risk of poison oak skyrockets.
Thanks for all the info, and looks like pants it is...lol I know what it looks like but I'm not always paying attention to that. I had a "brief encounter" in Phoenix and it ate me alive. I'lll have Zanfel and alcohol wipes to finish. Thanks again!
Glad you asked Tall Guy! Like in Wisconsin there's wild parsnip that I've never seen or dealt with anywhere else. Is there anything unique to Oregon like that besides the usually Poison Oak/Ivy/Sumac?
*usual
Over the weekend I got to play and check out three of the four courses. (pretty paranoid because I'm hyper allergic to poison oak) Camp Serene: didn't see any at all; shorts are fine. Stewart Pond: saw a few sprigs but seems to be easily avoidable. Dexter: definitely pants unless you stay 100% in the fairway, poison oak very healthy looking in much of the rough right now.
Thanks for the input on those courses Todd. No problem, Anna! Will look for ya' when we get there!
