Are long pads playing from carpets or teeboxes that are just dirt. It is a little confusing out here
That is what I figured most had just carpets but the first 8 holes or so had incomplete tee boxes with different angled shots. It is a tough course from the longs but looking forward to the challenge.
All longs have wood framed pads with athletic turf except for hole 6, 7, 8, 9, and 16 which have carpet just like the short pads. Any empty dirt frames are new and under construction and have a carpet pad nearby. Nobody should be playing from and empty frames.
I didn't really see many wood framed pads that had carpet in them or maybe they had just been covered back up with dirt after rain?
It just isn't clear and it would be nice to know that everyone is playing from the same pads
We will go over it at the Player's meeting before the tournament to ensure there is no confusion.
