Hey, I'm new and that might be obvious, but I wanted to share. I know of 5 people who were pretty excited for this. $30 is high for us (none of us have ever done a tournament... this is our local course and figured we'd make a day of it), but I had convinced them it was worth it because they'll get some fun stuff. The $10 penalty for not being PDGA though has pushed at least 3 of them out (two women, one 60+), while I and another guy are on the fence. That's a lot for people just trying to come out and enjoy the day and see what a disc golf event is like.
Maybe there's nothing that can be done and maybe that's cheaper than other tournaments, but for us very casual local players it's too steep.
