I see that there is a spot available in MA3 currently, but it isn't letting me update my registration to drop from MA2 to MA3. Is that change allowed?

No, that change is not allowed. For one, the tournament is full so if you try to swap yourself to another division, it should drop you from the full registration and put you on the bottom of the waitlist. For two, I'm keeping MA3 closed for now. It's still almost 30% of the entire field and I can't let it keep growing.
