Welcome and Thank you to everyone who is playing. This is Cambodia’s biggest Payout yet and our first event with 18 holes! History making and just so much fun. Excited to see everyone.
We will have 18 baskets everyday from Saturday til the end of the event. Come get the practice. The course is far different than most places people have played with some very “Easy” holes but most holes have the potential to get into some real trouble if you have an errant shot!
Starting the week off. We will have an informal doubles on Wednesday at 3pm. A fun way to meet everyone and see the course. Then on Thursday Scott Stokely will be having a Clinic at 3pm.
On Friday the Am’s will be in the morning starting at 9am. Players meeting at 8:20. Then the Pro’s will start at 2:30 with a players meeting at 2PM. Players meeting on the first day only. Any questions can be addressed anytime before or after the rounds.
There is also food, drinks and discs available at the Tournament Central. Also we have two beds available in a dorm style room for $5 a night. Fan only. Please contact for more details. Use Dgscene comments or the Cambodia Disc Golf Club Facebook page to contact others and arrange plans.
If you have not paid up fully then please do so as it helps us create a better experience on the morning of the tournament. Thanks.
This is a PDGA Sanctioned B tier event. PDGA Rules will be in play. Come to the players meeting at 8:30am or 2pm if you have any questions. No Drinking Alcohol during the round.
Live scoring WILL BE USED for this event. Please follow these guidelines for scoring.
1. Have Two people in your group go to www.pdga.com/score
2. Type in the access code: khmer
3. At the end of the round ALL players in the group need to approve their score. This happens by typing in their name or pdga number to approve the score when the round is finished. PLEASE DO NOT MISS THIS STEP.
4. Finalize and submit the scorecard, if you do it correctly, you don't even need to turn anything in to the tournament staff. It will provide Me with all the information I need to do groups for the second rounds and post scores.
5. Repeat all these steps for round 2.
The groups will be re ordered for the second round to play with your closest competitors in your division.
Below is the OB and rules for the course. Scorecards will be provided also as backups or if anyone can not use the digital score card.
OB shots are to be taken at 1 meter from the line that the disc went OB. On this course there is a decent amount of places that have the potential for an “unplayable lie”. Try your best to play all lie’s. If it is on a cow pie, then you can play from behind the cow poop. If it is next to or near the cow poop, then play the lie. If it is in a bush with thorns try to get a foot in there and play it if possible. If it is deep in and you feel its too much, then call over the card mates and come to a group agreement on if its playable or you should take relief. If you do take relief then you go back from the lie as far as needed in line with the basket. If there are cows on the course and you feel your disc is too close to one and it feels dangerous, then take relief the same as an unplayable lie. Back as far as you need in line with the basket.
