Looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday!
Thank you for signing up for the Bring Your Own Valentine Doubles FUNdraiser on February 5th at NAD.
What you need to know:
Check in starts at 9:15 and ends at 9:45, shotgun start at 10am.
This is a rain or shine event. No refunds at this point, but if you are not able to make it, please let me know ASAP so that I can rearrange cards!
Layout - Everyone will be playing red pad to short (A) basket. We only had one AM1 team sign up and no PROS, so nobody will be playing from the blue pads.
Ace pot and CTPs - These are individual prizes and you only qualify with your initial shot off the tee pad. So, if you use a love bug (mulligan) off the tee pad, that second throw does not count towards the ace pot or CTPs.
CTPs holes are: AM1/AM2 holes 1 and 2, AMMI holes 3 and 4, LAD hole 5, ALL Divisions Closest to PAD hole 18
Look for red roses as CTP markers
CTP prizes will be available at the event on Sunday.
If you did not, but would like to purchase love bugs, please bring exact cash at sign in:
$5 for 1 or 5 for $20
Total of 5 allowed per team
When you use a love bug both teammates rethrow.
Payouts for division winners will be made via paypal within a day or two of the event.
Scorekeeping - paper scorecards, pick up when you sign in
Bring your scorecard back after the round and we will tally scores right after the event.
I will also be playing, so if you are done before my card, just hang out under the shelter and wait
Format - We are playing the typical “best throw” doubles format:
Both team members throw from the teeing area.
The team then chooses which of the two positions to play from for the next throw. Both team members throw from the resulting lie, and the team again chooses which of the two positions to play from, and so on.
A team completes a hole when either team member completes the hole.
The score for a team on a hole is the number of throws for the lies that were played, plus any penalty throws.
If a team picks up a thrown disc before a lie has been chosen or marked with a marker disc, the team may not choose that throw. If a team picks up both thrown discs without a lie having been marked, the second disc to have been picked up is replaced to its original position as agreed upon by the group, and the team must play from the resulting lie.
When you use a love bug both teammates rethrow from that lie.
