For those that might not have received the email:

Thank you for signing up for the Bring Your Own Valentine Doubles FUNdraiser on February 5th at NAD.

50% of the registration fees go to the 2023 Evergreen Women’s Series and the other 50% to payouts!

A few details below to get you ready:
Please reply to this email to let me know your team name and which other team you would like to play with. I will do my best to match you up, but cannot guarantee you will play with that team. The other team does not need to be in your division.
This is a rain or shine event. No refunds after Feb 2nd. I figure everyone signed up for an event in February, so you knew what you were getting into!
Layout - Everyone will be playing red pad to short basket. We only had one AM team sign up and no PROS, so nobody will be playing from the blue pads.
Ace pot and CTPs - These are individual prizes and you only qualify with your initial shot off the tee pad. So, if you use a love bug (mulligan) off the tee pad, that second throw does not count towards the ace pot or CTPs.
If you did not, but would like to purchase love bugs, please bring exact cash at sign in:
$5 for 1 or 5 for $20
Total of 5 allowed per team
When you use a love bug both teammates rethrow.
CTP holes TBD. Prizes will be available for pick up right after the event.
Payouts for division winners will be made via paypal or venmo within a day or two of the event.
Scorekeeping TBD - udisc doesn't work quite right for this type of event, so we will likely be using paper scorecards.
Format - We are playing the typical “best throw” doubles format:
Both team members throw from the teeing area.
The team then chooses which of the two positions to play from for the next throw. Both team members throw from the resulting lie, and the team again chooses which of the two positions to play from, and so on.
A team completes a hole when either team member completes the hole.
The score for a team on a hole is the number of throws for the lies that were played, plus any penalty throws.
If a team picks up a thrown disc before a lie has been chosen or marked with a marker disc, the team may not choose that throw. If a team picks up both thrown discs without a lie having been marked, the second disc to have been picked up is replaced to its original position as agreed upon by the group, and the team must play from the resulting lie.
When you use a love bug both teammates rethrow from that lie.
Starting holes will be posted on Saturday and I will send out an email. You can also find out your starting hole at check in.
If you have any clarifying questions, let me know and I will include answers to those in the next email to everyone!

And, many many thanks for signing up for this Evergreen Women's Series Fundraiser!
