Ok...so I have a concern I'd like to bring to the attention of the TD. I'm a new member of the PDGA, and I played my 1st sanctioned tourney last weekend (Fairhope Jubilee). I played MA3 and finished 4th ( -2 score). Due to a hot 2nd round, the PDGA has me rated at 903. I'm quite proud of my play that day, but I don't believe I'm a 900+ rated player. My buddies consistently beat me, and they're rated 850-880. I just wanted to throw this out there, and if the TD wants to move me up to MA2 due to my current PDGA rating, I'm ok with it, I like a good challenge...but I don't believe I belong there. I just don't want to cause any issues with the other rec guys in my division when they see my current rating.
If your rating is above 900, Thomas will have to move you up.
You might be able to make that change yourself. Unless it is turned off.
I don't know how to change it, and I wouldn't anyway unless I had to. I honestly don't believe the PDGA should rate anyone who hasn't played at least 3 tournaments. I know I'm not a 900+ rated player, I simply had one 900+ rated round during my first tourney. It was the best ... more

I know I'm not a 900+ rated player, I simply had one 900+ rated round during my first tourney. It was the best round I've ever played, and it happened to be during my first sanctioned event. All that said, I won't argue if Thomas wants to throw me in with the big dogs lol. I understand how it looks on paper.
I understand Tim. If you are not moved it would be an automatci DQ for you once it was turned into the PDGA. You can go and edit your registration.
Oh wow! I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for pointing it out. New member learning curve...
Got it. Thanks Griff. I'm in the right division now
Thank you Griff for answering!
Tim, 900 is a hard place to be as far as ratings go, so I see where you are coming from. Just keep having great rounds and you will be MA1 soon too :)
