Good evening. We hope you have had a Happy Thanksgiving!
I am excited to be sending this email out. This is our first ever "Cedar Crew Open". This event will be held at County Farm in Aurora, Indiana, and Cedar Grove in Sunman, Indiana. These two courses are the courses used by the SE Indiana Club, the Cedar Crew.
In some searches, County Farm doesn't come up, but is used by the old name, which was "Cedar Sentinels". Round 1 will be there. For the 2nd round, it will be played at Cedar Grove. The address for Cedar Grove is: 21208 Meadow Lane, 47041 in Sunman, Indiana. This is a shared driveway. OUR HOUSE IS THE FIRST ON THE RIGHT ON MEADOW LANE. There's a planter with flowers that looks like a disc golf basket that has our name and address on it. Our driveway is right after it on the right. Please don't go past to our neighbors houses.
This tournament will be a 2 round event. We will shotgun start round 1 at 9a. Player check in is between 815-845a at the shelter at County Farm. After the completion of round 1, which typically takes 2-2.5 hours, we will have an hour and 15 minute break. This will allow people to drive to Cedar Grove, and also get lunch if needed. The closest place is Milan which has a Subway, a Casey gas station with food, and a Jay C (Kroger). Then the 2nd round will begin at Cedar Grove.
Saturday will be divisions: MPO/Advanced/Rec/Novice.
Sunday will be divisions: Pro and AM Masters divisions, and Intermediate.
You can play both days, because they are considered 2 different events if you are able play divisions offered.
The schedule will look something like this:
9a - Round 1
1130a - Lunch Break (approximately)
1245p - Round 2 (approximately)
330p - Awards and Payouts (approximately)
For round 1 at County Farm, everyone will play the same layout of the regular 18. There is no OB.
For round 2 at Cedar Grove, only MPO and Open Masters divisions will play the BLUE layout, and everyone else will play the PURPLE layout. All OB, Mandos, and Islands are in play.
We will not be doing a players meeting at County Farm. We will do a brief players meeting at Cedar Grove. It will be sent out in an email during the break with info.
When headed to Cedar Grove, please try to park as packed in as possible on the gravel, but if needed, it is ok to park on the grass right in front of the house along the driveway.
For those in the ACE fund, if none are hit, we will do a throw off at the completion of the 2nd round.
In the event of a tie for first in any division, the playoff will start on hole 1 and will go on until there is a winner. The blue or purple layout will be played (depending on which layout you played).
All AM divisions will receive crossover cash following the rounds, and open divisions cash via PayPal.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. It's going to be a great day!
