So when are the MA1s gonna be moved over here to clear up the 19 person waitlist? ????

Zachary Petzel   September 28, 2022 at 12:42pm

I’d like to see MA1 move over to sudnay

Skyler Stoker   October 10, 2022 at 1:38pm

Once the open field has a solid chance to register. Don't stress Jeffy knows what he is doing.

Skyler Stoker   October 10, 2022 at 1:39pm

A lot of open guys wait until the weekend before to register.

Michael McGinnis   October 14, 2022 at 11:29am

Some people in AM1 cant play sunday...

Jeff Bauman   October 14, 2022 at 11:50am

We want to get as many pros as possible. At least a dozen pros couldn’t sign up last year cause we’re filled with ams and had a waitlist that went more that 30 deep.

Alex Baker   October 17, 2022 at 4:30am

Having a waitlist on one day and 44 spots open on a other day does not really scream "this guy knows what he's doing"...or maybe it's because he knows exactly what he's doing. At least there's more people for Marwede to beat this year though.

Michael Forton   October 17, 2022 at 12:30pm

I've been around long enough to know one person can't decide to fate of many and this isn't a social media site th rag on people this is a legitimate site thank you for doing what you do Jeff Bauman keep Sunday open so the pros can fly through that course with no interruptions

Skyler Stoker   October 17, 2022 at 2:17pm

Alex your frustrations do not make sense as you are complaining about not being able to get into an event that is being run by the person that you are saying does not know what they are doing. There are plenty of tournaments that cater to Ams every weekend. You are welcome to sign up in open.

Alex Baker   October 17, 2022 at 8:11pm

This is literally the only sanctioned tournament that is hosted by Stony Creek during the year, so apologies for being frustrated when not being able to get into it. I know I am not alone, and I understand that you don't care.

Skyler Stoker   October 17, 2022 at 9:13pm

I do care up until the point you start disrespecting people for the effort they are putting in to run a two day event and make as many people happy as possible. It would be awesome if everyone got to play in every tournament they wanted to but it has NEVER worked like that.

Alex Baker   October 18, 2022 at 2:11pm

Listen, I completely understand why the tournament is being done this way. I competed in this event last year, and it was filled up within a day or so of reg being open. This was changed to let the AMs have the whole day to themselves and let the pros sign up on the second day to let more pros in. ... more

Brian Sweet   October 18, 2022 at 2:47pm

Every year there are am only A-tiers in michigan. It's good to finally see it work the other way occasionally too. Side note I would've loved to sign up for tour events but rating isn't high enough to not be on a wait list and still not ever get in. That's just how it is.

Michael McGinnis   October 20, 2022 at 12:21pm

Hard to take Alex's comments seriously when he didnt even sign up to be on the waitlist in the division he would like to play.

Tim Sylvain   October 20, 2022 at 12:59pm

Mike, maybe he didn't want to be #20 on the waitlist?

Michael McGinnis   October 20, 2022 at 1:28pm

Maybe, but that waitlist has changed a lot in the past month. The top comment on this thread is a month old.

Alex Baker   October 20, 2022 at 3:06pm

I was actually #5 on the waitlist for over 2 months before I committed to travelling elsewhere as it seemed the waitlist was going nowhere. The waitlist has changed a lot, but there is no way I could have predicted that, especially when the TD is manually adding people to the tournament when people drop (see the AM side comments).
