Are they going to be marking lines at either of the courses to represent OB like around water or tall grass? Also at Deer Run there are quite a few T-Pads that are in terrible shape, especially the one on hole four which is half ripped up. Are they going to be fixing those before the tournament?
Chris Baker has been putting alot of effort into repairing tee pads at Deer Run so I'm confident it'll be in top form come tournament time.
Ponds are striped only when the footing does not allow for the 1-meter relief on "solid" ground. Thee pond levels fluctuate so its too early to tell if they will be painted yet. We have OB lines marked with white rope on holes where OB usually comes into play (e.g. hole 14).
My comments are specific to BC3..
Lines will be painted at Deer on Thursday this week on most tall grass and outlined in the course rules. I have a new piece of turf for long 4 which will be placed on Thursday also.
Chad, are there other tees you are concerned about? You said “quite a few”. Can you specify? There is a back corner on long 7 that we are looking at also.
We were also hoping for hog slats for some of the lower holes that were damaged by flood a couple years back. They are on order, but haven't been delivered yet unfortunately.
