For those that missed the email/didn't receive the email:
Hello, everyone, and welcome to the 2022 Limber Open!
We are only a few weeks away from playing, and we are so excited to host you out at WJ Homestead!
Here are some notes for the event and things to be aware of.
- The layout will be set up in the coming weeks. The baskets and tees at the course are NOT in the positions they will be for the tournament yet. They will be in place for practice rounds on the Friday before the tourney
- Practice rounds will be available to non-members and members on Friday, Sept. 16 from 11AM-5PM. There will be a $5 charge for non-members of WJ Homestead to be on the course. If you have a time you would like to play, let the Tim at WJ know and he can arrange a tee-time for you. This is just to help with congestion on the course during the day and members who might book rounds. You can email Tim at [email redacted]
- We will be adhering to the 3 minute search time for lost discs as we need to make sure the cards move smoothly and we don’t have too many backups. Please make sure to help your card mates in the event of losing a disc!
- The player’s meeting will be in the morning and we will be confirming OB and mandatories on the holes. If you have any questions about the layout or proceedings, this will be the time to ask them.
- Bring lots of water and prepare for the weather. We will have water stations at holes 11 and 18 to refill during your rounds. Also make sure to bring a lunch and snacks as there will not be lunch provided.
Here is the final schedule for the day of the tournament:
Schedule:
7:30AM - Player check-in opens. Come to tournament central to check in and claim your player’s pack. We will have additional event discs for purchase if you missed out on grabbing one at registration!
8:25AM - Player’s meeting. This is where we will clarify all details of the course and answer your questions.
9AM - Round 1 shotgun start. All starting holes will be posted on the PDGA website.
1PM - Round 2 shotgun start. Holes will be posted on PDGA website.
4PM - Wrap-up and awards! Please hang around to enjoy in some fun raffles and prizes!
The team at Limber really wants to thank Annex Soda Manufacturing and Calgary Heritage Roasting Co. for their sponsorship of the event. We wouldn’t have been able to host without them! Make sure to check them out at their shops in Calgary and support local businesses that love disc golf!
Of course a huge thank you to Tim at WJ Homestead for opening his course to us to host this event. To have such beautiful course so close to Calgary is a huge treat!
With your help we’ve raised over $300 for the CDGC! Thank you so much, and make sure to buy/renew your membership every year to keep disc golf growing in the city.
We look forward to seeing you out there! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Aubrey or Taylor and they’ll get an answer back to you as quick as they can. You can find their contacts on the DiscGolfScene event page.
Cheers,
Aubrey Hughes
Hi Aubrey! I am currently on the waitlist but will have to withdraw my waitlist registration! I never received an email so I can’t contact for refund through there. Thank you!
Absolutely, Mitch. I will process your refund today for you.
