I just played the Cuchara course yesterday, and wanted to ask if there is any chance some more mowing might get done before the tournament? We noted that on the lower course, a strip was mowed from tee to pin, but a 6 foot wide strip doesn't constitute a fairway, and finding discs in that grass out there is going to lengthen the rounds.

Hi Larry, yes we are going to do everything we can to get the course in good condition before the tournament. Mowing is done strictly by volunteers so unfortunately the course isn't mowed as much as it should but we do our best with limited resources right now. But, we'll do everything we can to get it in the best conditions prior to July 2nd!

Thanks Will...I understand about having to do all of your maintenance with volunteer labor. I thought you had partnered with the township of Cuchara or some such last year...too bad they are not helping dress the place up a little for this tourney.

Cuchara Mountain Park is a Huerfano County Park and they are able to do some maintenance but not as consistently or timely as we'd always like. We'll definitely get the course freshly mowed before July 2nd.
