I’ve never played in a tournament before, how do the payouts work? I saw that you pay $25 but the winner only gets $18? Can someone explain how all that works
I'm assuming here from what I know, but payout will be based on sign up. Out of the $25 sign up fee, 18 goes to payout, and the rest to Ace Pot/PDGA, etc. The more people that sign up, the more payout we'll see, instead of just first getting payout, we could see 1-5, or 1-8, depending on ... more

Out of the $25 sign up fee, 18 goes to payout, and the rest to Ace Pot/PDGA, etc. The more people that sign up, the more payout we'll see, instead of just first getting payout, we could see 1-5, or 1-8, depending on funds available. If you sign up as a Pro, it will be cash/Paypal payout, and as an Amateur, you'll get payout in merchandise credit most likely. It all depends on TD (tournament director) and it varies by tournaments
