First, I forgot to post this Players Pack Pick Up will begin tomorrow at 11am.
Unfortunately, I have tested Positive for Covid. I contacted this through a family member who came back from traveling. I will say that with everything we had going on, I was able to work remote and didn't exposure the staff or TDs. To say I am devastated by this would be an understatement. We have worked for months to bring you this event and now my family will have to miss it. But we are blessed that no one else has tested positive at home. What does this mean for you? Not much really. Again, we have worked for months on this and we have great TDs for you at each course. The layouts on the PDGA are good and the courses are marked well. We have beefed up our staff a little to help. We have volunteers that have come out to help. I have contacted the PDGA to make them aware of the situation and they're fine with me still acting as the TD of event remotely. Actually, lots of big events like the DDO may very rarely see the TD of record on site. If you have a little extra time this weekend, please check with our TDs on the course and see if they need anything. Or maybe volunteer to spot for a bit. A little really goes a long way and our family would truly appreciate it as well.
Few more event details. Tomorrow you will get an email with a QR code. You will need that when you come to collect your players pack. It is a build your own players pack again and we have worked hard to put together a nice spread for you. Also remember Pro players we opted to keep your payout higher and not include a Shirt. We have something a little different this time and from the feedback we see Pros want bigger pay not Shirts. We will offer to sell you a shirt after the event at a highly discounted price if you like also.
Also, tomorrow we will release our players book. If you saw the BYOP book you know what you are in for. We have worked really hard on this again and it's got it all. Directions, info, details, even hole by hole fly throughs. Please review all the info, it will do a bunch. Thank you so much to Emily Ludington for this amazing product.
I will update our giveaway post on Facebook. I screenshot the total on Tuesday night but have not been able to post an update.
Tee times will be posted at 8pm tomorrow. I'm kind of surprised by the amount of people who sign up and then drop out with 88 so far. So, if we post early and then 6 people drop everything shifts so posting the night before the event is the standard.
We did make a decision to move hole 5 at Belmont tonight. There are some ground bees by the other basket. That said it's the season so please be aware.
I've been struggling with the email from DGS. I tried emailing last week's update as well and I'm told that it didn't work. I will try to send this one as well but please spread the word for us.
Remember guys we will be using digital scoring. HSO 2022 is your access. This info will be in your players book as well.
I'm sure there is something I forgot. So please ask away or message me or the shop and we will get it taken care of. Again, I am really bummed that I won't be onsite but like they say, the show must go on!
