What are the conditions of the course currently? DGCourseReview's last update was in August and described the course as "BAD - Zero course maintenance here. Which is ridiculous considering the local club has over 100 members and there is also the parks department that does nothing as well. Best played in the Winter."
Is this at all accurate?
Somewhat accurate - things have been moving in a positive direction. The park said they will, and have, kept up decent maintenance. April is early enough in the year to not have the course overgrown. Additionally, we will be doing a walk-through / clean up before the event. I can not vouch for how the course will be playing before the event - only that it will be ready event time.

Rockland has been a bit of a "Thorn" through the years. I have, personally, been advocating for the players for a long time directly to the park. On the other hand, simple finances and lack of manpower has caused problems for the park - which is understandable, to a degree. Unfortunate overall - Landon Furlong and Eddie Foster designed the course for free - and the usual financial help from Landon continually remains unappreciated. Of all of the many years I have ran an event there, the past two have seemed to turn towards a more positive outlook.
We seem to be going through a bit of that up here at our local course but hopefully we are turning the corner and making progress.

I went out there yesterday. Course looked and played great.
