I have been getting questions about the waitlist. Here is some information:
The amateur side capped at 75 players. The event has a current cap of 108 players, though technically I could add pro players. Why? Because amateur players get player's packs, and I have a certain number of player's packs available. The event therefore caps at 75 for amateurs.
If an amateur drops (and I do not care which division), I'll add an amateur from the waitlist in the order they are currently in.
What does this mean for refunds? Because I have a waitlist, if an entered Am drops before 5:30 p.m. Friday, he or she will receive a full refund, as I have a ready replacement on the waitlist. Why 5:30 p.m.? Because at that time, registration will officially close, I will refund everyone who is on the waitlist, and the waitlist will be no more.
If an amateur player notifies me that he/she is withdrawing after 5:30 p.m., but prior to 8 a.m. Saturday, he/she will receive 25% back. Tournament no-shows will receive nothing.
Pro players who withdraw prior to Friday at 5:30 p.m. will receive a full refund, and pro players who withdraw after 5:30 but before 8:00 a.m. will receive 25% back.
This policy is in accordance with PDGA guidelines, and is actually quite a bit nicer than what the PDGA requires. Please note, after 5:30 p.m. Friday, TO OFFICIALLY WITHDRAW, YOU MUST CONTACT ME VIA EMAIL OR PHONE (TEXT). Contacting me via FB messenger, DGS messages and so on are not guaranteed to count! Of course, until registration closes, you may request a refund/withdrawal via Disc Golf Scene.
After the waitlist has been purged, if there are withdrawals, I will post a notice there has been a withdrawal and the time slot available to the Facebook event page and the comments in Disc Golf Scene. If someone wants to fill that spot, message me via text or email. It will be first come first served.
See you Saturday for the Bride of Big Blue Monster!
